I had some really close frien...I know that feeling. I had some really close friends in elementary /middle school but once I was put into an honors class and they were not things changed. It was slow for me too. And I like to tell myself that it's because we had different classes but that's not it. We had become marked as different. Funny enough, I never felt bad about who I was or "stressed" until I was put in those classes.
