Welcome to True Skool , an online archive and directory of some of the dopest hip hop acts in The Bay and across the world. In addition to an online directory of artists such as the Bay's finest (DJ Spair, J. Boogie, DJ Platurn) and articles written by Jeff Chang and other long time bay area hip hop journalists, True Skool also features a live monthly (every third Friday) hip hop event at Poleng Lounge (formelly Storyville Lounge) on 1751 Fulton off of Masonic. The event was voted by the SF Guardian as one of the "Best of the Bay" back in 2001 and is hosted and DJ'ed by many of the artists featured on the site.
