The Epitome of Lyrical Dexterity

Is Brother Ali.

Say what you will about his melancholy tone and the fact that he gets play for being an albino muslim rapper. You can't expect every rap album to be upbeat any more than you can expect to smile everyday. And well fashioned exoticism wears off shortly after objects become ordinarily human. Put bluntly, Brother Ali is probably the most honest emcee out, not to mention one of the most talented.

Fuck Pitchfork.
