It's been a very long 24 hours for yours truly, so much so that i'm half thankful to be alive and still reeling from 4 AM subway rides and strange encounters with street wanderers. More on that later.
For now, a little mind numbing montony, two doses of cinematic brilliance and a sultry Canadian singer have brought me back to life. Enter Feist. A while back, Intersections pointed to how she vindicated American Apparel, and now in a new video for summer smash hit "My Moon My Man" directed by Patrick Daughters, she guides us on a mind altering tour of very long airport people movers.
Way to go, Feist. Bringing Black girls back to life, one day at a time.

p.s. word around the blogsphere is that Fidel Castro is dead? Check it out here, here, here, and here. Obviously, more will be written on this once the rumors simmer and the facts come out.

I am fond of Feist, particularly her video art, but I wonder if it is too soon after the OK Go treadmill phenomenon for dancing on moving objects to be clever. Eh, I still like it.
I dreamt of you recently. Hope things are working out for you in NYC.
Yeaahh I love Feist!! I haven't seen these videos before, hella nice. =) I saw her once in concert in SF, the power went out like halfway through her set, but she kept on goin and still was ridiculously amazing. Hope you're enjoying NY!! =D
